Credit Europe Bank Romania announced it’s implementing contactless functionality across its entire network of ATMs. This move enables customers to perform transactions, including rapid payments and cash withdrawals, with just a simple touch of a card, phone, watch, or any NFC-enabled smart device, regardless of the issuing bank.
The bank aims to provide a modern and simplified banking experience through this technology, facilitating not just cash withdrawals and balance inquiries but also a broader range of services. These services include cash deposits, obtaining a mini-statement showing the last ten transactions, paying credit card bills, and making transfers to other accounts, all accessible through contactless interactions.
Antar Turgay, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Credit Europe Bank Romania, expressed enthusiasm about the new feature, emphasizing the faster, more convenient, and more secure transaction process it offers customers. The contactless transactions at ATMs not only enhance the user experience by reducing physical contact but also significantly lower the risk of data theft through skimming devices.
