Garanti BBVA Introduces ‘Request Payment’: A New Digital Payment Solution

Garanti BBVA, in partnership with the Interbank Card Center (BKM) of Türkiye, has launched a ‘Request Payment’ feature across its mobile and online banking platforms. This feature is designed to improve the process of requesting and sending money, making financial transactions more accessible and efficient for individual and self-employed customers.

The ‘Request Payment’ service allows Garanti BBVA customers to easily request money transfers from acquaintances, whether they bank with Garanti BBVA or other financial institutions.

By entering the recipient’s account information and receiving their acceptance, payments can be swiftly processed via SWIFT. This feature significantly simplifies the experience of requesting urgent cash or awaiting payments, integrating seamlessly into Garanti BBVA’s digital channels.

Çağrı Süzer, Executive Vice President of Garanti BBVA, emphasized the convenience the ‘Request Payment’ feature brings to the bank’s offerings:

Request Payment’ is a great new way to request money and simplifies the whole process of making transfers. We at Garanti BBVA will continue to offer products and services to make our customers’ lives that bit easier.

To access and utilize the ‘Request Payment’ feature, customers need to activate the option within the ‘Product Preference Settings’ found under the ‘Profile and Settings’ tab on the Garanti BBVA Mobile app.
