Qoobiss is changing the game in Romania by becoming the first e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) solution to offer remote identity validation via video for the new identity cards with chips. This update makes it easier and more secure for Romanian citizens to verify their identity online, no matter where they live.
Starting this year, everyone has the option to go for these electronic ID cards that look just like a bank card but have a chip loaded with personal details like name, photo, birth date, and even digital fingerprints.

They’re also planning to pour €500,000 into improving their services, launching new ones, and eyeing markets beyond Romania. Last year, they wrapped up with 30 clients, and they’re looking to double that number by the end of 2024.
