Visa has announced its integration into the AWS Partner Network (APN) to simplify global digital payments for its clients, including cloud-native fintechs, financial institutions, and enterprises. This move enables Visa to offer select payment services directly within the AWS Marketplace.
By joining the APN, Visa can now deliver its services more efficiently, such as the Visa Cross-Border Solutions, which facilitate smoother global transactions and currency management.
This integration into AWS allows Visa’s clients to embed these solutions directly into their operations without stepping away from their existing platforms, streamlining the process of sending and receiving money globally.
Vanessa Colella, Global Head of Innovation and Digital Partnerships at Visa, commented:
Visa is dedicated to better serving our clients in cloud environments, which is why we’re excited to bring Visa Cross-Border Solutions to the AWS Marketplace.
Empowering Fintech Innovation and Growth
Visa’s move is also a significant step forward in supporting startups and fintechs that are part of the Visa Fintech Fast Track program. Eligible companies can receive up to $100,000 in AWS Activate credits, aiding their development and reducing time to market. Howard Wright, VP and Global Head of Startups at AWS noted the collaboration’s potential:
We are looking forward to working with Visa to help make financial apps in the cloud more accessible, faster, secure, and easier to use.
The partnership is expected to lower costs for companies by reducing the need for local data centers and specialized hardware. Companies that process payments through AWS can utilize secure AWS Privatelink connectivity with Visa Cloud Connect, ensuring seamless and secure transactions across Visa’s global network.
